500 กรัม Simcoe Hop Profile Simcoe®, previously named YCR 14, was released in 2000 by Select Botanicals Group. It has since become one of the most popular hops for both the craft beer and homebrewing industries. At 12%-14% Alpha Acid, Simcoe has great bittering qualities, but also packs a complex aroma of stone fruit, pine, and citrus zest. It truly is a dual purpose hop that is capable of standing on its own in single-hopped beers in a wide range of styles. Aroma: passionfruit, pine resin, apricot, and fruity aroma and flavor. Alpha Acid: 12-14% Typical Usage: Dual purpose Beer Styles: IPA, Double IPA, American-style ale.
500 กรัม Idaho 7 IDAHO 7™ HOP PROFILE Idaho 7™ is the first hop release from Jackson Farms just outside of Boise. This hop is ripe with zesty tangerine flavor that is reminiscent of marmalade. Its uniqueness shows up as a pleasant herbal character that melds with the citrus to come across like fine earl grey tea. 007 is a dual purpose hop capable of carrying a recipe, but it works best in conjunction with Citra or a bittering hop like Warrior.

Occasionally I hear a beer drinker bemoan that with all the “hazies,” IPA has lost its way over the last few years and isn’t what it is supposed to be. Where did all the dry, bitter, West Coast IPAs go? Where are the malty, balanced IPAs?
